Rev. Vernon Palo dresses in 1800s garb for the Monroe Township 200th birthday celebration on Saturday in the township's fire hall. Palo presently is pastor of a United Methodist Church in Damascus but has also served churches in Plymouth Township and Andover and has relatives that grew up in Monroe Township.
