Spiesman's sixth grade class buried the time capsule, actually a 30 gallon trash can, in May of 1981 with plans of students opening it in 2011. The excavation never occurred so class members gathered at the home, where it was buried, and relived their elementary school memories as dozens of items were removed from the "capsule".
